TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please find below our full terms and conditions. By enrolling your child with the dance school, you are hereby agreeing to the terms and conditions detailed below.

Fees

a)    Fees are subject to be reviewed annually
b)    As at June 2019 the fees per class are:

o  £3.50 for 30 min classes (£6 if you take 2 of these)

o  £4.00 for 45 min classes

o  £4.50 for 60 min classes

Discounts

a)    A 10% discount is applied to the bill when 6 classes or more are taken per week within a family

b)    This discount is automatically applied in Dancebiz and can be seen on the invoice

Payment

a)     Invoices for timetabled classes will usually be emailed at the end of each term for the following term. They will also be available to see in your online Dancebiz account.

b)    Payments can be made by way of bank transfer, standing order or in cash.

d)    Cash should be enclosed in an envelope with the student’s name.

e)     All Accounts must be settled by the last day of term. 

f)     Fees are not waived in respect of family holidays, school trips, school exams or short-term sickness or injury.

Registration

a)     All students should be registered via the online student portal for parents where you will be able to log in at any point and see yours / your child’s lessons for the coming term and obtain your latest invoice. 

b)    If you are new to the school please email elitedancegrantham@gmail.com and come for a trial lesson before registering yourself on the portal.

c)     You can also mark an upcoming absence and keep your personal information up to date. 

d)   Create an account (see Enrolment tab)

e)    Once you have an account set up you can download the app on your phone and access it easily from there. 

f)    When you set up your account please add your children as students (or yourself if you are an adult student). EOD will then allocate students to their correct classes for you. 

 Termination of classes

a)     Half a term’s (i.e. 6 weeks) written notice to the Principal is required for any pupil wishing to discontinue any class or leave the school.  If the required notice is not received, the full payment of the pupil’s fees for the following term will be due.

b) Should any pupil wish to discontinue any class or leave the school, refunds for any unused classes will not be given. 


Uniform

a)   Correct uniform must be worn for ballet, tap and modern classes. 

b)    Hair should be worn in a bun for ballet classes and neatly in a ponytail or plait for other classes

Facebook Group

a)  Please join our private Facebook group. Please search for the group using "The Elite Academy of Dance, Grantham" and request permission to join. 

b)    This page is the best resource for us to communicate information quickly and efficiently and to post exam & event details and share photos. 

c)     If you are new the school and place a request for access please email elitedancegrantham@gmail.com to let me know.

Examinations

a)   EAD will work towards ISTD exams.  Pupils will only be entered when they have reached the required standard decided by the teacher.  

b)    In the lead up to exams it may be necessary to attend extra exam practice classes.

c)   Students must commit to not missing lessons in the term leading up to the exam and must attend extra practices if deemed necessary by the teacher. Students will not be entered for exams or could be withdrawn without notice if they do not comply. Refunds are not given.

d)  Invoices for examinations are distributed when the occasion arises.

e) All examination invoices must be settled within 14 days of the invoice date as entry fees will already have been paid by EAD on the Parent/ Guardian’s behalf.

f)    All examination fees must be paid before the date of the examination.

g)    Invoices for extra exam training classes are distributed on an ad hoc basis. All exam practice invoices must be settled within 14 days of the invoice date.


EAD Liabilities

a)  EAD do not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury arising from errors or omissions on the registration form whether completed by you or the person in charge of your child at the time of enrolment.

b) EAD do not accept liability for personal injury to any child attending class, with the exception of such injury being caused by negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.

c)  EAD do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

d)  EAD do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control.

e)  EAD is only responsible for pupils while they are in their class. Children cannot be supervised whilst they are outside class. Young children must be collected promptly at the end of their class.

f)   EAD holds Public Liability Insurance. 


Responsibilities of Parent / Guardian

a) These terms and conditions, and any enrolment forms you have signed, constitute an agreement between you and us in connection to classes or any services superseding any prior agreement.

b)    Attendance at class is deemed to be acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.

c)     It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to notify EAD of any illness or injury that may affect the child’s participation at class.

d)    It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that we have the correct details for you and your child and keep us updated of any changes to health.

e)     It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to regularly read the website/facebook information and/or the notice board in order to be fully aware of all upcoming events.

f)     In the event that we consider you to be in breech of these terms & conditions or that your child is disruptive to other pupils or staff, teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity within the school.

g)   Photographs and video footage of pupils taken by EAD may be used on our website/facebook page and for publicity purposes. If you do not wish your child’s image to be used for these purposes you must inform us in writing.
