Michelle Bates, Principal Dance Teacher

Michelle started dancing at the age of five at the Deepings Dance Centre and holds Advanced level qualifications in ISTD Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern and UTD Acrobatics. She is a qualified ISTD teacher and full teaching member of the Associated Dance Board. She began teaching at the Elite Academy of Dance in 2002 and is the owner of the school. Michelle works full time in finance in London and travels to Grantham to teach at the weekends. She runs the school not-for-profit.

Jeneen Hallam, Dance Teacher

Jensen began dancing at the age of 5 in Grantham and went on to train at Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre Liverpool and then London Studio Centre, gaining a Professional Diploma in Performing Arts and reaching Advanced Level in ISTD Tap, Modern, Ballet, National and in RAD Ballet and AAD Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom and Latin American Dance. Her performing career includes 42nd Street (West End and US & Australia Tour) and Starlight Express (West End).

She has been teaching for several years in Grantham and Seaford plus 2 years in Australia. She is a fully qualified ISTD and RAD teacher and has plenty of enthusiasm to pass on to students of all ages.

Gemma Bates, Occasional Dance Teacher

Gemma is a PE teacher in Casterton in Stamford, teaching years 7 to eleven including GCSE classes. She started dancing at the Deepings Dance Centre with Michelle at 6 years old, and took classes in
Ballet, Tap, Modern and acrobatics.


Michelle Gough, Ballet Teacher

Michelle trained as a full time student from the age of 11 at Elmhurst Ballet School and Arts Educational Schools. She achieved full accredited examinations in all genres including ISTD & RAD Classical Ballet, Cecchetti Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern, Contemporary, Jazz and Flamenco as well as achieving a Diploma in Dance from Arts Educational Schools, Chiswick, London. Michelle has represented the UK in youth festivals in Europe and performed for royalty, notably the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Recently Michelle has taught for dance and performing arts schools in Grantham and surrounding areas and is fully qualified in ISTD classical ballet. 

With the experience of training at professional colleges and studying under teachers from the Royal Ballet and the West End, Michelle has achieved a high standard of dance and performance which is her passion to pass on.

 Caroline Rees, Occasional Dance Teacher

Caroline is full time school teacher and occasional teacher at Elite. She trained at the Northern Ballet School and was previously principal at The Ministry of Dance, in Market Deeping. 

She is an excellent teacher and choreographer and helps out at the school whenever possible.


Grant Koper, Occasional Dance and Musical Theatre Teacher

Grant trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College, in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Pas de deux and Contemporary dance . He is also trained in Musical Theatre, Singing and LAMDA Acting with a Trinity Diploma in Speech and Drama.
